Lamar Buffalo Ranch

The store was originally built and located at Fishing Bridge in the 1920s and moved to Lamar Valley in 1981, similar to the visitor cabins. In 1993 new insulation and a propane heater was added (included in the renovation to the visitor cabins) but would go on to become a small store for students of the Yellowstone Institute rather than remain a cabin.

The store uses electricity to power the lights, cash register, phone, and internet router. The propane heater is planned to be phased out with the addition of spray foam insulation in the coming years.
