Professorships make an incredible impact. The School of Architecture faculty is currently comprised of recognized leaders, rising stars, inspirational teachers, respected researchers, visionaries and dedicated mentors. They believe deeply in the School’s mission and contribute to the betterment of the academic world, students, our community and our profession. This professorship has the capacity to immediately raise the standard of our already prestigious faculty as well as increase the School’s international reputation, enhance recruitment and retention opportunities and bolster diminishing state support of higher education.
The Retro Active Master’s Visiting Professorship will support the salary of the visiting faculty member named to the position each year. A million dollar endowment provides a permanent source of income to augment the vision and mission of the School and will become the primary building block of our legacy. By any measure, the establishment of a visiting professorship represents the commitment of the School’s alumni and friends to support and sustain the vigor and advancement of the MSU School of Architecture. We believe that by supporting the visiting professorship we can be instrumental in helping bring new knowledge to the School of Architecture and in turn allow visiting professors to see, first hand, what an impressive program is situated in the heart of Montana.
