The School of Architecture is home to a shop where hands-on practice with wood, metal and glass is paramount. Students continually explore the intricacies of construction by designing and building their own pieces. The shop is open to second year students and above. These students must first participate in the shop orientation offered throughout the fall and spring semesters. Many upper division courses are offered to students who are interested in formal instruction, including Furniture Making and Materials class. Shop hours vary throughout the semester; however an updated schedule is regularly posted outside the shop door.
